3rd Thursday is held at St Andrews Church in Burnham at 2.30pm each Third Thursday of the month, as part of the churches commitment to those living with the effects of Dementia and other forms of vulnerability and their carers.
Open to everyone, people of all faiths and none, Third Thursday offers a short simple church service with familiar and well loved hymns, bible readings and prayers to feed and nourish the soul. The service is followed by tea, coffee, cake and sandwiches to feed the body and provide an opportunity to get to know others living with similar circumstances.
Our Third Thursday group celebrated their first anniversary last week with help from the town's MP, James Heappey, and the Mayor of Burnham and Highbridge, Cllr Bill Hancock.
3rd Thursday is a monthly service that is by no means restricted to those living with Dementia, it is open to all as is any service or activity at St Andrews.
