The Mothers' Union meet together regularly to pray and worship as well as look at how they can support families within the church and local community.
The Mothers' Union meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month in the Church Hall. These meetings can take many forms from inviting the church choir to sing a few hymns and then having a quiz on hymns to asking speakers to talk on what they felt inspired to talk about.
They also have other events throughout the month; a Corporate Communion, which everyone is welcome to, on the 1st Thursday at 10am in the Church and knit 'n' natter on the 1st Tuesday in the Church Hall at 2:30pm. They have a rota for flowers in St Nicholas Prayer Chapel.
The Mothers' Union Support the church in many ways including assisting in services, serving Sunday morning coffee, church cleaning, church watch and leading the Women's World Day of Prayer Service.

Loving Lord, We thank you for your love so freely given to us all. We pray for families around the world. Bless the work of the Mothers' Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life. Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world. In Jesus' name. Amen

On May 15th we had our annual Cream Tea, with strawberries and cream. Our 100th birthday cake was made by Gill Miller and, at Graham’s suggestion, she used the Queen Mother’s favourite recipe, printed in ‘Families First’. Mary Witts made the delicious scones.
